Evan’s 1991 300ZX Twin Turbo

When Evan first told me he was going to sell his G35 for another car, I looked at him, laughed, and dismissed it.

Now, I’m jealous; he promptly sold his G35 (the same color as mine, too!) and religiously combed Craigslist for his next car; he told me he was interested in a 300ZX.  I told him, “Good luck finding an unmolested specimen.”

After 2 lemons, he found the one.  It is by no means perfect, but it’s pretty nice for a 20 year old car.  The car itself came with a sound system, upgraded radiator, front and rear camber arms, and also a lot of fixed maintenance issues.

Evan swept up the car, dumped it on AMS coilovers, and threw on his Enkei RPF1 wheels in SBC finish that he kept from his G35.  At 9.5″ front//10.5″ rear//+15 all around, they poke a bit right now since he needs to dial in a little negative camber; still, it sits pretty for a car that one doesn’t usually see stanced.  He also switched his hatch with OEM spoiler to a spoiler-less hatch for that cleaner look.  Just this past winter, he bought and installed some new goodies: a new clutch, oil pressure and boost gauges, and downpipes.

Evan plans for a new front bumper as well as engine upgrades (injectors, fuel rails, fuel pump, etc.) that will net him a conservative 350HP to the wheels.

One thing’s for sure: I wish I had turbos.

Sammy’s 2006 Mustang GT

So I finally got the chance to shoot my good friend Sammy’s Mustang GT.  He’s owned it since high school, about as long as I’ve owned my G35.  Sammy is absolutely meticulous when it comes to his car; not only is he a detail fanatic, but he puts a lot of careful thought into each modification on his car (so much so that I’ve had to convince him to press “Place Order” on various parts websites).

Sammy’s got black Foose Nitrous wheels wrapped in Nitto Invo rubber with 2 piston Baer big brakes with 14 inch rotors peeking out in the front.  Under the hood, he has various dress up items, as well as a short ram air intake with a Bama Chip tune, which really wakes up the car.  As you see this Mustang drive past you, you can really hear the v8 burble due to the FRPP Borla Stinger Exhaust.

Rumor has it that Sammy has a couple new parts sitting in his garage… maybe a new front bumper and a supercharger.  :)

VIP Modular’s Shop

A couple days ago while I was in SoCal for winter break, I accompanied my bro PJ to work; he is the auto tech for VIP Modular, a well known wheel company based out of Garden Grove.  He builds wheels that go on many sick VIP cars around the U.S.

The shop is full of barrels and faces all waiting to be completed and fitted onto customer vehicles.  Lots of very beautifully designed AND lightweight [I lifted them myself, not at all as heavy as I thought they looked!] wheels!

Tom’s 2006 Mini Cooper S Cabrio

Hey guys & gals,

I come to you today with a friend of a friend’s daily-driver go-kart.

Mini Cooper S’s already come supercharged from the factory, but the owner, Tom, decided this wasn’t enough.  Within a month or two of purchasing his car, Tom added some aftermarket goodies: Craven 15% smaller pulley for his supercharger, one step colder spark plugs, John Cooper Works exhaust, M7 cold air intake, a new cam, Bosch 455cc injectors, a Helix short shifter, H&R lowering springs, strut tower supports, Alta 22MM rear sway bar, and M7 Ultimate Grilles both front and rear.  To top it all of, Tom had this mini-beast tuned with a Revolution ECM tune and was able to realize 210 HP, pretty good for such a small vehicle.  Also, Tom disliked the stock wheels with run flat tires since they did not perform well, so he threw on a new set of shoes: ESM E30 wheels wrapped in Falken Ziex ZE-912 rubber.

Tom got a new license plate for his mini — TPLS BLR; quite fitting, as it certainly is a topless blur as it blows by you with a whine of its supercharger.

This was definitely one of my most favorite shoots.

Special thanks to my boy Phil for hooking it up and helping me with this shoot!

Sam’s 2002 Honda Accord EX Sedan

Back in September of ’09, Shane @ Limitless Motorsports told me that one of his clients wanted a photoshoot and shot me a phone number.

I called Sam, who told me to come down to South San Francisco to shoot his cleanly modified Accord; he had just mounted his new wheels — Lowenhart LGM’s: 18×8 front // 18×9 rear // +35 all around.  Paired with a complete Wings West body kit and dropped on Tein SS-P coilovers, this is certainly not your average Accord.

He has some nice subtle interior additions, too — sound system including a JL sub and amp as well as a Pioneer Avic Z2 deck and video screens in the headrests.

Since this shoot, Sam has gotten a gorgeous set of new headlights with color mod’ed TSX projectors and Audi A4 shrouds.

Johnny’s 2006 Ivory Pearl G35 Coupe

This photoshoot was quite a long time ago, but Johnny’s IP coupe was one of the cleanest coupes I’d ever seen.

Wheels truly do make the car, and Work Varianza T1S fit perfectly on a G35 coupe.  Coupled with Tein G35 S-techs, this car is a daily driver anyone would be proud to drive.

Wheel specs:
20×9.5 front // 20×10.5 rear// +15 all around

Hello world!

Hopefully I can find time to post on this website instead of just using it to host all of my pictures!
